EVERY SEASON THE COLLECTION KICKS OFF WITH A FEW WORDS OR SENTENCES, INSPIRED EITHER BY A MEAL, OR A COLOUR OR WHATEVER JUMPS TO MIND AND SUDDENLY
FEELS SO RIGHT!
UNITED IS THE BUZZ WORD FOR THIS SEASON...

My friend and business partner Hans has introduced me to a fabulous Thai artist named Atasit Pokpong (Learn more about Atasit Pokpong here) - he makes the most amazing paintings 190 cm by 190 cm - when I saw them I just had to own one. The front page is from my living room - as you can see this painting has a lot of energy. Looking into this face always takes my mind travelling and all sorts of ideas come to me.
 
This painting has inspired the collection - we are working a lot with full warm colours - dark purple and a bit of almost black as a contrast to the raspberry, red, green and different shades of pink.
Many handpainted items - fun and functional as always.

As I am writing to you we have just finished our big sales meeting with the whole Rice team - I wish you could all be here and experience the energy and the passion in some of these meetings.... It is in every aspect colourful..... it makes me feel very lucky to be surrounded by all these enthusiastic people. We are very united.
